Another week, another successful test complete at Composite Systems.
This time we were looking at acoustic performance of our composite floor system and completed a series of five tests at CSIRO. We were looking to demonstrate the performance of a floor system with a bare soffit, allowing us to celebrate the timber ceiling below.
Performance was excellent with NCC compliant floor solutions now possible for both residential and commercial buildings. The composite concrete topping improves the acoustic performance at low frequencies, which is often an Achilles heel of mass timber floor systems.
Thanks to our partners , Joel Parry-Jones at PKA Acoustic Consulting and Chris Wood at Standstruct for helping us design and complete the testing.
Now on with the next tests!
