Strongfloor is a Timber Concrete Composite developed and tested by Composite Systems and tested by Viridi Group, utilising timber where it performs best.
Timber acts in tension at the base of the floor, provides a high quality aesthetic soffit, and acts as permanent formwork to the concrete. Steel channels are fixed in a factory setting in composite action to the mass timber panels providing strength, while concrete is poured over the top to provide a robust and solid finish under foot.

StrongBase is a custom extruded two-part aluminium baseplate for timber frame construction.
It was developed by Viridi Group to solve two challenges. The first section allows factory installation of doors into our pre-fabricated wall panels and still allow for level thresholds to be achieved on site.
The second section is installed on site prior to the arrival of the walls and provides an accurate and high capacity connection between the wall and supporting slab.

With remarkable composite behaviour and an ultimate load capacity exceeding 250% of the service design load in testing conditions, StrongBeam sets a new standard in structural performance and reliability.
